Emma is my sister-in-law and a teacher; it has been good to keep in contact with WhatsApp in sending pictures. I sent Emma, Charlie’s picture of her French Knots, starlet stitch, running stitch that she had been working on so hard. The embroidery has given Charlie freedom to work on her mental health while learning different stitches, the project that the learners were working on was Flower Pots embroidery and applique.
I love making up titles for the different projects and deciding on the design and using a variety of stitches, this is helping me improve my own practice within embroidery so I am stretched and that the learners come with me on the journey of stitching.
Emma is right!
I am a natural teacher and when I looked through my teaching file for my PTTLS course the feedback given was that I am a natural.
I am so thankful that I get to be teaching embroidery as this is always what I wanted to do, but I did not know how to get here! Here is very good, but I am wanting to grow as an embroidery teacher which means I need to carry on with CPD to improve my own practice.
